Sixth Annual Cub Scout Sleepover at the Austin Children’s Museum!
When: Friday, February 6, 2009 starting at 5:00pm (The night before the Report to State Parade on February 7)
Where: Austin Children's Museum, 201 Colorado St., Downtown Austin
Topic: Engineer It! Learn the value of teamwork as you use your creativity and ingenuity to design fantastic contraptions! More details on specific activities will be posted closer to the sleepover date.
What's included?: Overnight stay at the Museum, rotation through 5 guided activity stations with teachers provided by the Museum, pizza dinner, snack, and continental breakfast (bagels, granola bars, juice, coffee, fruit).
Tentative Timeline: Arrivals and pizza from 5-6:00, Orientation from 6:30-7:00, rotation through stations from 7:00-9:30, free play from 9:30-10:30, mat chat from 10:30-11, Lights out at 11:00. Wake up at 7:30 am, free play and breakfast from 7:30-8:30, get ready to go and leave from 9:00-9:30 am (or leave earlier if you need to line up for the parade.).
Where will we sleep?: Sleeping spaces are claimed first come, first served and are all on the first floor of the Museum in the carpeted main exhibit areas. If more space is needed, we will expand to other areas.
What will we bring and where will we park?: You will receive a confirmation letter with more information after you register.
Registration: $26 per person (adults and kids alike). Payment in full is required at the time of registration. A $150 security deposit by check is required per pack to secure your reservation. No reservation can be held without a deposit. These checks can be mailed at the time of registration to: Attn: Boy Scout Sleepover, Austin Children’s Museum, 201 Colorado St, Austin TX 78701. Barring significant damage to the Museum or exhibits, deposit checks will be returned after the Sleepover.
